    Description

    1787 Miller 33.17-r.1 Connecticut Copper, MS62 Brown
    Lustrous Type Coin

1787 Connecticut, Draped Bust Left, M. 33.17-r.1, W-3625, R.1, MS62 Brown NGC. This lustrous golden-brown Miller 33.17-r.1 representative is lighter in hue than the Hall-Hessberg example without the mint red color around the devices. However, it is just as well preserved and better struck than that coin with minimal roughness at the centers. There are a couple of small planchet flaws below AU and left of the branch. This die combination is readily available, but opportunities to obtain Mint State survivors seldom present themselves. Perfect for type purposes. Listed on page 66 of the 2021 Guide Book.
Ex: Jon Hanson (11/7/2000); Donald G. Partrick.
