Description
1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Draped Bust Left Fine Details, Improperly Cleaned, NCS. Miller 16.5-n, Low R.7. Incorrectly designated as 1786 on the NCS insert. Unnatural light brown color, likely cleaned to reduce the visual impact of corrosion that affects the left obverse and lower reverse. CONNECT, INDE, and ET LIB are bold, as is the seated effigy and her branch. Struck from widely rotated dies.
