Description
1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Laughing Head, M. 6.1-M, W-2820, R.1, AU50 PCGS. One of two Mailed Bust Left, Laughing Head varieties, the Miller 6.1-M shows the dot after AUCTORI above the tip of the highest leaf. Generally well centered and sharply defined on the devices, only minor roughness and pitting is visible on both sides, most noticeably at the jawline and around the date. Attractive medium-brown surfaces provide substantial eye appeal. Listed on page 61 of the 2016 GuideBook. Population: 7 in 50, 13 finer (8/15).
