Description
1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Left XF45 NGC. Miller 4-L, R.1. This is the well-known "Horned Bust" variety, but an early die state without the die break or "horn" on the lower left obverse field. Well centered with a full, bold date. Dark brown and granular with medium brown highpoints and some wispy marks near the UC in AUCTORI. Listed on page 59 of the 2008 Guide Book.
