1787 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Muttonhead Fine 15 NGC. M. 1.2-C, W-2720, R.3. The Muttonhead obverse paired with the Topless Liberty reverse, known as Miller 1.2-C, is believed to be a contemporary counterfeit. The obverse strike is toward 10 o'clock on this deep chocolate-brown example, while the reverse strike is low. The reverse reveals a few edge bumps, including one near 11 o'clock. Listed on page 61 of the 2014 Guide Book.From The Old New England Collection.
