1787 COPPER Immunis Columbia, Eagle Reverse, XF40 PCGS. W-5680, High R.4. Crosby Pl. VIII, 8, Breen-1137. An elusive type believed struck in Birmingham, England as a proposal for an American coinage contract. Generally mahogany-brown, with lighter tan-brown toning across the reverse field. The right obverse field has a couple of unimportant planchet flaws and handling marks. Minor roughness on the lower reverse rim was likely on the planchet prior to the strike.
