1787 COPPER New Jersey Copper, Large Planchet, Plain Shield XF45 NGC. Maris 62-q, R.3. A deep chestnut-brown state copper that has soft centers but is otherwise well struck. A thin streak beneath the horse's head was on the planchet before the strike. Listed on page 66 of the 2009 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2B4P, PCGS# 509, GSID# 209)
