Description
1787 COPPER New Jersey Copper, No Sprig Above Plow VF25 NGC. M. 59-o, W-5325, R.5. Designated as Large Planchet, Plain Shield by NGC, using the past Guide Book arrangement of the New Jersey series. A much better die variety usually encountered well worn. The present example has only moderate wear, though the centers are incompletely brought up and retain portions of the planchet surface. Mildly granular but only lightly abraded. Listed on page 70 of the 2014 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2B4P, PCGS# 509, Greysheet# 209)
