    1787 FUGIO Fugio Cent, STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils, Pointed Rays, N. 13-X, W-6855, R.2, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Coined in New Haven, Connecticut, the Fugio coppers were the first coins issued by authority of the United States. This remarkable Gem offers smooth chocolate-brown surfaces with a few hints of original red and just a touch of granularity at the lower left peripheries. The design elements are sharply impressed and some interesting clash marks show on the obverse. Listed on page 87 of the 2016 Guide Book. Population: 7 in 65 Red and Brown, 0 finer (1/16).
