Eagle On Globe Faces Right
1787 N YORK New York Excelsior Copper, Eagle Faces Right --
Scratches -- NGC Details. XF. W-5780, High R.6. A highly
important colonial issue with a total population in the range of 15
to 20 coins. Slight surface roughness appears on both sides of this
dark brown example with old scratches on the obverse. Although
specific details are sketchy, today's specialists believe that
these pieces were produced by John Bailey and Ephraim Brasher.
