    Description

Very Elusive 1787 Immunis Columbia Pattern Piece

1787 PIECE Immunis Columbia Piece, Eagle Reverse XF40 Uncertified. Small Planchet. Breen-1137. This specimen is approximately 26 mm in diameter, about the middle of the range observed for the Small Planchet issue. On these small planchets (virtually all that exist, the large 28-30 mm planchets are very rare), the date is hardly ever completely on the planchet. However, this well centered piece one does show a full date, a very desirable feature for most collectors. The surfaces are smooth and well preserved with strong details and attractive even medium brown color. For future pedigree purposes, two small planchet indentions are noted to the lower right of the central obverse device. Listed on page 36 of the 2003 Guide Book. Accompanied by ANACS certificate, registration number X-2290-A.
