    1788 Massachusetts Cent, Near-Mint
    With Period, Ryder 3-A

    1788 1C Massachusetts Cent, Period AU58 NGC. Ryder 3-A, W-6210, Low R.4. A lovely chocolate-brown cent with unmarked and minimally granular surfaces. Planchet flaws are confined to the obverse rim near 3 o'clock. Slightly off center toward 12 o'clock, but the date is complete, as are the feathers atop the Indian's head. Listed on page 59 of the 2014 Guide Book.
