    1788 Massachusetts Cent, MS63 Brown
Ryder 7-M, Ex: H.C. Miller, Ford
    Condition Census

1788 1C Massachusetts Cent, Period, Ryder 7-M, W-6250, High R.4, MS63 Brown NGC. Ex: H.C. Miller. One of the finest known of the variety, this Condition Census piece exhibits glossy olive-brown toning over each side, with subtle underlying mint luster. The extreme centers show a little of the usual weakness for the issue, though CENT is sharp and the Indian's tunic is mostly delineated. A visually and technically superb representative.
Ex: Henry C. Miller Collection (Thomas Elder, 5/1920), lot 1560; Hillyer Ryder; F.C.C. Boyd; John J. Ford, Jr. Collection (Stack's, 10/2004), lot 131; Jon Hanson; Donald Groves Partrick.
