    1791 Washington Cent, Large Eagle
    Baker-15, MS64 Brown

    1791 1C Washington Large Eagle Cent MS64 Brown PCGS. Baker-15, W-10610, R.2. A well struck ebony-brown near-Gem of this important Washington issue. The surfaces are glossy and show only unimportant imperfections. Produced in England in the hopes of securing a Federal coinage contract. The designs were later copied by Peter Getz of Pennsylvania for his pattern attempts. Listed on page 81 of the 2014 Guide Book.
    Ex: Charlotte ANA Signature (Heritage, 3/2003), lot 5016, which realized $2,530.
