1792 Born Virginia Cent, VF Details
1792 1C Washington Born Virginia Cent, Inscribed Reverse --
Altered Surfaces -- PCGS Genuine. VF Details. Baker-60, W-10730,
R.5. Although John Gregory Hancock's 1791 Small Eagle and Large
Eagle cents are relatively common, his "Born Virginia" Washington
pieces were apparently coined in much smaller quantities. The
present medium brown example has strong obverse details and
pleasing definition on the reverse peripheral legends. Both sides
have a few thin marks and the rims display minor to moderate dings.
The reverse is mildly granular and the obverse appears burnished.
Listed on page 82 of the 2013 Guide Book. (NGC ID# 2B79, PCGS# 723)
