    1793 1/2P Washington Ship Halfpenny, Copper, Lettered Edge AU58 PCGS. Baker-18, R.3. A pleasing mahogany-brown Washington piece. The strike is above average for the issue, since this is a relatively early die state with only moderate bulging of the reverse field. A small lamination is noted near the main sail, and a few minute strike-throughs are found near the chin. Listed on page 79 of the 2008 Guide Book. Population: 11 in 58, 8 finer (12/07).
