Choice 1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent
    Birmingham Halfpenny Mule

1794 1/2 P Talbot, Allum & Lee/Birmingham Halfpenny Mule MS64 Red and Brown NGC. Breen-1040, W-8665, High R.4. Although designated by NGC strictly as a Dalton & Hamer 54 Condor token, Early American numismatists know it as one of the scarce 1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee mules. This example has substantial pumpkin-gold luster, especially on its Birmingham Halfpenny side (we hesitate to refer to it as the reverse.) One spot near Liberty's raised hand, but well struck and void of noticeable abrasions.
