Rare "London" Edge Grate Halfpenny, MS64 Red and Brown

1795 1/2P Washington Grate Halfpenny, Large Button, Lettered Edge MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. "London" edge. Baker-29 footnote. D&H Middlesex-283. Breen-1275. An attractive token and a rare variant. Breen knew of only "4 or 5." Edge lettered PAYABLE AT LONDON LIVERPOOL OR BRISTOL instead of common reeded edge. The tops of the letters are off the planchet along right side of obverse. A small die cud is also observed on obverse through the top of the F of FIRM. Probably close to 50% of the original red color is still extant overall, most of which surrounds the devices. Sharply defined.(#744)
