Lovely Gem 1795 Washington Grate Halfpenny

1795 1/2P Washington Grate Halfpenny, Large Buttons, Reeded Edge MS65 Brown PCGS. Baker-29A, Breen 1271. Sharply detailed with a smooth, semi-reflective finish under lovely steel-blue patina. One of the nicer pieces we have offered in recent years. The Washington Grate token is actually a British Conder token, but collectors in this country long ago adopted it as a piece of Washingtonia. Listed on page 79 of the 2007 Guide Book.
