    1796 Medal Castorland Medal, Copper, Original Dies, MS63 Brown PCGS Secure. W-9110, R.7. An early restrike from the original Paris Mint dies. The reverse shows minor die crumbling near the right handle of the vessel, as usually encountered. No die breaks are apparent near the S in PARENS. The borders are strike doubled, but the central designs are sharply struck. The chocolate-brown surfaces are unabraded and attractive. Listed on page 89 of the 2019 Guide Book. Population: 4 in 63 Brown, 7 finer (4/18).
