    Near-Mint 1796 Castorland Medal

    1796 MEDAL Castorland Medal, Silver AU58 PCGS. Breen-1058. Struck from original dies with the positioning of the letters as listed on page 106 of Breen's Encyclopedia (1988). There is no trace of die rust near the vessel handle and no die bulge around PARENS. Sharply defined, the surfaces are gray-golden with numerous darker gray spots of color on each side. Listed on pages 73-74 of the 2008 Red Book.
