Lovely MS63 Brown
Undated (1795) PENNY Washington Liberty & Security Penny MS63
Brown PCGS. CAC. Baker-30, W-11050, R.2. The "Plain Rims"
variety, which lacks the toothlike texture seen on the scarce
Baker-30E. The surfaces are golden-brown with a slightly deeper
gunmetal toning in the open fields. Each side is smooth except for
one mentionable abrasion, a thin reverse mark at 8 o'clock. The
strike is complete, and the eye appeal is exceptional. Listed on
page 80 of the 2012 Guide Book. Population: 19 in 63 Brown,
26 finer (12/11).Ex: Palm Beach Signature (Heritage, 3/2006), lot 54; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2008), lot 2058.
