Scarce Corded Rim Liberty and Security Token

Undated PENNY Washington Liberty & Security Penny, Corded Rim AU53 PCGS. Baker-30E. Misattributed as a 1783 Small Military Bust by PCGS. Unlike the more common Plain Rims variant (Baker-30), the rims do not have a lumpy appearance, and the rim near the edge is grooved. This moderately circulated chocolate-brown Washington piece has only trivial contact for the grade, and the reverse exhibits only a trace of verdigris. Listed on page 80 of the 2006 Guide Book.
