Description

1904 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS66
CAC, Seldom Seen Finer

1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar MS66 PCGS. CAC. The poor sales and negative stigma that had risen around the Louisiana Purchase gold dollar went on to severely diminish the desirability of the Lewis and Clark dollar, which fell to just 10,025 coins of the 250,000 mintage authorized in its first year. The coin displays light gold luster with some light mirrored points within the fields close to the devices. The strike is strong, and the piece as a whole lacks any abrasions or marks that would degrade this CAC-endorsed example.(Registry values: N4719)
