Description
1904 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS67+
Stunning Multicolor Patina, Flashy Luster
1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar MS67+ PCGS. Although
the 1904 Lewis and Clark gold dollar is not as elusive as its 1905
counterpart, both issues are far and away more conditionally rare
than any others in the classic commemorative gold series. PCGS has
certified 18 submissions in MS67 along with this sole MS67+ and a
single MS68 finer (2/16). The multicolor patina that embellishes
both sides of this flashy coin includes orange, teal, jade, red,
and golden hues amid top-notch luster. The central devices as well
as the fields are free of any mentionable contact marks, but it is
the incredible patina and luster that give this piece an extra dose
of firepower that most well-preserved examples lack. This amazing
coin is also a plate coin on PCGS CoinFacts, showing another
stunning photo. From The Paul Denby Collection of U.S. Gold Commemoratives.(Registry values: N7079)
