Attractive 1904 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS64
1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS64 PCGS. In early 1904, Congress authorized 250,000 gold dollars to commemorate the Northwest Territory discovery and exploration by Lewis and Clark. Although 25,000 1904-dated coins were struck, only 10,025 pieces were reported sold. Attractive peach-gold luster is imbued with traces of lilac and a well directed strike imparts strong detail to the design elements.
