1904 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, Toned MS67

1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS67 PCGS. CAC. Shades of lime-green and apricot invigorate the highly lustrous surfaces of this gorgeous Superb Gem commemorative, and all design elements are sharply impressed. Both sides display remarkable preservation.

Produced with the dates 1904 and 1905, this is the first commemorative gold coin to be struck in more than one year. It celebrated the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1804 to 1806. Held in Portland in 1905, the Lewis and Clark Exposition attracted about 2.5 million visitors between June 1 and October 14 on a 406 acre site. This Exposition was not designated by Congress as an international event, yet 16 countries participated. Population: 19 in 67 (1 in 67+), 1 finer (12/14).(Registry values: N7079)
