Description

1905 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS66
Scarcer Than the 1904, Seldom Seen Finer

1905 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS66 PCGS. CAC. Grade-for-grade the 1905 Lewis and Clark gold dollar is a tad pricier than its 1904 counterpart, even through the net distributions were virtually identical. That disparity widens as the higher grade levels of MS66 and MS67 are reached, the latter being theoretically obtainable but practically not. This Premium Gem with CAC endorsement will provide a more than acceptable alternative, showing flashy surfaces in medium apricot-gold with no more than a couple of the most minute ticks appearing in the fields and on the device high points. Population: 70 in 66, 3 finer (4/13).(Registry values: N7079)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYLG, PCGS# 7448, Greysheet# 10207)

Weight: 1.70 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
