1905 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS66
Spectacular Color and Luster

1905 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1905 Lewis and Clark gold dollar is widely recognized as the key to the gold commemorative series, and it is significantly scarcer than its 1904 counterpart. Only on rare occasions do we have the opportunity to offer for sale an MS66 example of this important coin. This particular coin has exceptionally attractive mint luster. The colorations it exhibits are also noteworthy, particularly the subtle lilac and orange-gold patina on the reverse that deepens significantly on the lower portion of that side. Exceptional quality and definitely worthy of consideration for the one of the finest sets of commemorative gold coins being assembled today. Population: 73 in 66, 3 finer (11/14).
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 5/2004), lot 11262.
