1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS64 NGC. CAC. Although two 50-dollar gold pieces were produced for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the quarter eagle is the largest gold denomination from that series that most collectors aspire to obtain. This lovely Choice Mint State example features sharp details and frosty honey-gold luster with trivial marks of no consequence. A dark toning spot at the center of the obverse may serve to identify this piece in past or future offerings.(Registry values: N2998)
