Beautiful Wheat-Gold Surfaces
1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS65 NGC. CAC.
Wonderful wheat-gold surfaces don't deviate from this delectable
hue. The reverse is strongly impressed, but the obverse high points
exhibit some weakness. This important issue was part of the fabled
1915 Panama-Pacific set, issued for the San Francisco World's Fair
that year. It included the famed $50 issues too, quite possibly the
king of American commemoratives. Also, this issue is one of two
quarter eagles in the Classic Commemorative series, with the other
