Description

Pleasing 1915-S Panama-Pacific Gem Quarter Eagle

1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS65 NGC. David Bowers (1991) writes that the 1915-S Panama-Pacific quarter eagle was the first of two 20th-century issues of this denomination to be produced in the commemorative series, the other coming more than a decade later in connection with the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition. The Gem offered in this lot displays soft luster and yellow-gold patina imbued with subtle traces of light green. A sharp strike characterizes the design elements. A few unobtrusive handling marks on each side are mentioned for accuracy, and are entirely within the parameters of the MS65 grade level.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# BYLP, PCGS# 7450)

The outcome of the auction far exceeded my best hopes and would not likely have been as successful with out your sound advice on where to present the coin and how best to set the reserve. Throughout the process your availability , support and knowledge were exceptional.
