Description
1915-S Pan-Pac Two and a Half
A Seemingly Unmarked Gem
1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS65 NGC. Even
though his reputation is less than sterling, the numismatic
promoter Farran Zerbe can be thanked for the ambitious
Panama-Pacific slate of commemorative coins. The Pan-Pac quarter
eagles are under intense collector pressure, especially at the Gem
level. This high-end example boasts generous luster proceeding from
the unperturbed yellow-gold surfaces. The swirling, raised
die-polishing lines are typical for the issue.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYLP, PCGS# 7450, GSID# 10214)
