Gem Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle
1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS65 NGC. An impressively smooth straw-gold Gem with satin luster and a good strike. Veteran mint engravers Charles Barber and George Morgan are credited with the designs, the eagle on the reverse similar to that on the Judd-1608 1879 Schoolgirl dollar. One of only two quarter eagle commemorative types, unless the 1848 CAL counts.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYLP, PCGS# 7450, GSID# 10214)
