    Outstanding Surface Quality

1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS66+ NGC. CAC. While the Panama Canal was of immense importance to ocean-going commerce, transportation, and access to the West Coast of America, it was also the crucible for understanding the causes and effects of yellow fever and malaria. Advances in sanitation and mosquito control helped control the diseases, commemorated on the quarter eagle issued at the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. This high-end Premium Gem displays smooth, nearly unmarked surfaces with a sharp strike and radiant mint luster that shimmers over frosted wheat-gold fields and devices.(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# BYLP, PCGS# 7450)
