1915-S Quarter Eagle, MS68
Panama-Pacific Issue

1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS68 NGC. The Panama Canal linked the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the completion provided the occasion to celebrate with an event in San Francisco known as the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. That event gave numismatist and former ANA president Farran Zerbe the inspiration to plan a remarkable set of commemorative coins including a silver half dollar, a gold dollar, a quarter eagle, and two 50-dollar gold coins, one round and the other octagonal.

An absolutely mind-blowing example of the popular 1915-S Panama-Pacific commemorative quarter eagle, this Superb Gem is boldly defined with flawless lemon-yellow luster. Census: 2 in 68, 0 finer (1/20).(Registry values: N1)
