1915-S Panama Pacific Quarter Eagle, MS68
Tied for the Finest Certified
1915-S $2 1/2 Panama-Pacific Quarter Eagle MS68 NGC. Mint
records indicate a net distribution of 6,749 Panama-Pacific quarter
eagles, and current NGC and PCGS population records show a total
certified population of 68% of that distribution. However, just two
of the 4,600 certified Panama-Pacific quarter eagles have achieved
the MS68 grade, both at NGC, and none are finer (3/20). We offered
the other MS68 example at the February 2020 Long Beach sale, and
these are the only appearances of this top grade level in our
archives. This Superb Gem has frosty and highly lustrous
yellow-gold surfaces that are pristine. This is the finest
obtainable quality for the Panama-Pacific enthusiast or the classic
