    1915-S Octagonal Fifty Dollar Pan-Pac
    AU Details

1915-S $50 Panama-Pacific 50 Dollar Octagonal -- Improperly Cleaned -- NCS. AU Details. The Panama-Pacific fifties are undoubtedly one of the most inspired designs in all of U.S. numismatics. Each side is rife with symbolism, and the designer, Robert Aitken, went to great lengths to explain the design of these coins. A mere 645 octagonals were struck, second only to the fifty dollar round in mintage. The light hairlines on each side have subdued the surfaces, but strong definition is still evident and the only contact marks of note are two on the face of Minerva.(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# BYHP, PCGS# 7452)

    Weight: 83.59 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
