    Description

Highly Desirable 1915-S Pan-Pac Octagonal Fifty Dollar Coin

1915-S $50 Panama-Pacific 50 Dollar Octagonal MS62 PCGS. Always a popular issue because of the peculiar shape of the coin, its large size, and very limited production run of only 645 pieces. This piece represents good value in this rare issue because of the rich, satiny mint luster and slight reddish patina. The only surface defects we see that are worthy of note are a series of small slide marks on the cheek, helmet, and owl's wing. The rims and corners are sharp and undinged, and the striking details are crisp throughout. (#7452) (NGC ID# BYHP, PCGS# 7452)

    Weight: 83.59 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
