    Description

    1916 McKinley Gold Dollar, MS67+
    Stellar Preservation, Top-Grade at PCGS

1916 G$1 McKinley Gold Dollar MS67+ PCGS. Although distributions were widely separated (estimated in the Guide Book as 15,000 and 5,000 pieces, respectively, for the 1916 and 1917 issues), the 1916 McKinley gold dollar is every bit as scarce as the 1917 in Superb Gem condition. The present coin is tied with two other Plus-graded MS67s as the finest at PCGS. The strike is bold, and the frosty surfaces are beautifully free of even minor blemishes. Hints of peach and lilac appear throughout yellow-gold fields, furthering the eye appeal. Population: 96 in 67 (3 in 67+), 0 finer (9/16).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# BYLK, PCGS# 7454)

    Weight: 1.70 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
