1917 G$1 McKinley MS65 NGC. The buttery-gold surfaces display crisply struck design features and pleasing satin luster. Distracting marks or blemishes are not found on either side of the coin. The McKinley commemorative gold dollars of 1916 and 1917 were intended to help defray the cost of constructing a McKinley birthplace memorial in the assassinated president's hometown of Niles, Ohio.(Registry values: N2998)
