Description
1922 Grant No Star Gold Dollar, MS67+
Among Five Finest at PCGS
1922 G$1 Grant Gold Dollar, No Star, MS67+ PCGS. CAC.
Surviving examples of the 1922 No Star Grant Memorial gold dollar
are more or less evenly distributed throughout the MS63 to MS66
grade levels, but the number of pieces achieving a Superb Gem grade
is minimal -- and this is among only a handful to reach the MS67+
level and to gain the CAC endorsement. The strike is bold
throughout both sides, and the preservation is exceptional -- nay,
phenomenal. Frosty wheat-gold luster imparts outstanding eye
appeal. Population: 5 in 67+, 0 finer. CAC (which ignores Plus
grades): 23 in 67, 0 finer (3/16).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2016), lot 3440, which brought $6,463.
