1922 G$1 Grant With Star MS66 NGC. Laura Gardin Fraser's designs for the 1922 gold dollar are identical (except for scale) to the Grant half dollar, down to the presence or absence of the star above the N. The star signifies nothing except following the brief tradition set by the 1921 Missouri and Alabama commemoratives. A lustrous sun-gold Premium Gem with outstanding preservation and the usual incomplete strike on the tree near the frame house window.(Registry values: N2998)
