    Description

Gem Uncirculated 1926 Sesqui Quarter Eagle

1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS65 PCGS. It is always an occasion of pride for us when a solidly graded Gem 1926 Sesquicentennial Quarter Eagle appears in one of our Signature Sales. After all, the vast majority of extant Sesqui Two-and-a-Halves have been certified at or below the MS64 level. Pleasingly frosted with rich, original, rose-gold color, both sides are virtually free of distracting abrasions. Blushes of pale, lime-green iridescence are seen around the peripheries as the coin rotates under the light. A couple of grazes are visible on the left reverse field and several copper-colored alloy spots are visible on each side.(#7466) (Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 2FE9, PCGS# 7466)

    Weight: 4.18 grams

    Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
