Description
Remarkable 1926 Sesquicentennial Quarter Eagle, MS66
1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS66 PCGS. Vivid orange-gold patina laced with traces of mint-green adorn the highly lustrous surfaces of this Premium Gem specimen. A uniformly sharp strike characterizes both sides. A couple of minor marks in the right reverse field may preclude an even higher grade. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006) indicate that nearly 155,000 of the 200,000 1926 commemorative Sesquicentennial quarter eagles minted were melted.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYLT, PCGS# 7466, GSID# 10213)
