Impressive Premium Gem 1922 no Star Grant Gold Dollar

1922 G$1 Grant no Star MS66 PCGS. This high-grade example of the Grant no Star gold dollar displays unusually crisp striking definition, especially on the reverse. The bold luster highlights attractive, even lime-gold toning across both sides. Laura Gardin Fraser, who also worked on the Alabama and Oregon Trail commemoratives, created the designs for the Grant half dollar, as well as the Grant gold dollar. Her monogram appears on the obverse, between "1822" and "1922", just below General Grant's bust.
