Description

1893 25C Isabella Quarter MS64 PCGS. This popular commemorative honors Queen Isabella of Spain on the obverse and has a figure emblematic of women's industry on the reverse. With a distribution of only 24,214 pieces, these quarters are significantly rarer than their Columbian Exposition half dollar counterparts. Cobalt-blue toning at the top of the obverse accents the rose and gold that covers the rest of the surface. The untoned center of the reverse is surrounded by deep purple and russet along the rim. Remarkable satiny luster gives this sharply struck and carefully preserved specimen outstanding eye appeal. (Registry values: N1793)
