Description

1900 Lafayette Dollar, MS65
First Commemorative Silver Dollar

1900 $1 Lafayette Dollar, DuVall 1-B, MS65 NGC. All told, a moderate 36,026-piece Lafayette dollar mintage was distributed. Five die pairs were needed to accomplish the production. This DuVall 1-B variety is one of two readily available varieties, yet Gem Uncirculated examples are scarce. This sharply struck MS65 coin is beautifully lustrous beneath frosty, light silver-gray surfaces for eye appeal that exceeds expectations for the issue. A few discreet marks are so minor that no individual mention is warranted.
