1900 $1 Lafayette Dollar MS64 ★ NGC. DuVall 1-B. As of (8/08), only two Lafayette dollars have garnered the coveted Star designation from NGC, the present piece and an MS66. The designation is due to the eye-catching patina, which features peripheral bands of ocean-blue, autumn-gold, and plum-mauve toning that surrounds the cream-gray fields and devices.
