Description
Lustrous Near-Gem 1900 Lafayette Dollar
1900 $1 Lafayette Dollar MS64 PCGS. DuVall 1-B. A chestnut-brown near-Gem with original toning and vigorous satin luster. The strike is precise, and the fields are well preserved. Two minor reeding marks on Washington's face are all that limit the grade. Curiously, the Lafayette dollar is the only pre-1983 silver dollar commemorative, despite the traditional collector preference for crown-sized coins.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYKW, PCGS# 9222, GSID# 10321)
